Avanna Glass

From starting at zero to discovering her voice as an artist

Avanna Glass began studying music with Raiza Mora in July 2019, starting completely from scratch. Over the years, Raiza guided her in guitar, piano and voice, helping her build her skills and find her own ways to express herself.

A journey that never stopped

The most special part of her story is that it never came to a halt. When the pandemic forced in-person classes to stop, Raiza and Avanna continued through virtual lessons. Learning, practice and musical growth carried on without pause.

From student to performer

With Raiza's guidance, Avanna prepared for school auditions with greater confidence, earned choir solos —moving from learning to real performance— and took part in musical theatre productions. Each experience was a different step in her growth.

A relationship that goes beyond a class

What sets this journey apart is its continuity. Raiza stays present as the student's goals change: from learning at zero to audition prep, from solos to musical theatre. Each new experience opened the door to the next challenge.

That is the true journey of a student: to grow, to discover themselves, and to keep moving forward.

Sara

From her first lessons to a pre-professional orchestra

Sara began studying with Raiza Mora in 2020. Since then, Raiza has guided her musical development for several years —not only as an instrument teacher, but as a mentor through every stage of her growth.

A path toward an arts education

Along the way, Sara built her skills and moved toward new opportunities. One key milestone was her admission to the Osceola County School for the Arts (OCSA), a public school specialized in arts education that combines academic excellence with musical training.

Preparing for every new challenge

Raiza has also prepared Sara for the Florida Symphony Youth Orchestras (FSYO) auditions. With each one she advanced progressively through the organization's ensembles, from the entry levels up to one of the most demanding groups this year.

From pianist to cellist

Her training goes beyond a single instrument: Raiza also helped Sara become the pianist for her church's youth group, a role she held for several years. Performing for others and taking on real musical responsibilities has been an essential part of her preparation.

The next step: university

Today Sara is preparing for her university auditions with the goal of studying music professionally, with the cello as her main instrument. More than preparing for a single audition, Raiza has guided her over the years as Sara discovered where she wanted to take her own musical life.

Special news this year

This year brought wonderful news: Sara was selected for the cello section of FSYO's Symphonic Orchestra, a pre-professional, conservatory-level ensemble where students perform highly challenging repertoire.

Amelie

From a passion for singing to competing on a high-level stage

Amelie Ceballo is a young singer developing her vocal talent alongside Raiza Mora.

Preparing for a competitive stage

Beyond developing her vocal skills, Raiza has prepared Amelie for one of the greatest challenges any young artist faces: stepping onto a competitive stage and showing what she has learned before judges and other talented performers.

A high-level experience

From August 3 to 8, 2026, Amelie took part in a VibeStage competition, performing across multiple categories and musical styles: Broadway, Classical, Country, Gospel, Jazz, Magic, Pop, R&B, Rap, Rock, World, Quick Study, and Most Promising / Outstanding. That breadth reflects the vocal versatility she is building, exploring different styles and learning to adapt to the demands of each one.

An extraordinary result

Her participation earned her eight awards in total: two gold medals, five silver and one bronze. Yet for Raiza the true value goes beyond the medals — the competition is an opportunity for Amelie to learn to prepare, to perform, to handle the pressure of the stage, to receive professional feedback and to keep shaping her own artistic identity.

The next challenge: Las Vegas

After this experience, Amelie begins a new stage of preparation. Her next goal is an international competition in Las Vegas, and Raiza will continue guiding her, developing her vocal and interpretive abilities for a stage of international scale.

Beyond the medals, competing teaches her to prepare, to perform and to command the stage. That is where she truly grows as an artist.

Alejandro

Music as a bridge toward confidence

Alejandro, a student on the autism spectrum (level 2), began his piano lessons with Raiza Mora in February 2023. Through a patient, structured and deeply empathetic methodology, music became his space for connection and expression.

An unforgettable milestone

In December 2023, just ten months after starting, Alejandro performed a piano solo at the Christmas Recital in front of nearly 150 people. An achievement that, in the words of his mother Alicia Merced, seemed unimaginable at the beginning of the journey.

Every child has a way of connecting with the world. Music can be that door.
